Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan actress from Manama, Bahrain and was born into a multi-ethnic household. Her father Elroy is from Sri Lanka (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim is Malaysian. There are two brothers as well as an older sister. She was raised and born in Bahrain. Her parents moved there in the 1980s due to the civil war that occurred in Sri Lanka. After her schooling in Bahrain, she was awarded an Scholarship to study at Sydney's University of Sydney, where she earned a diploma with a major in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. To enhance her love of cultures, languages and other languages, she was enrolled at the Berlitz language schools where she was able to master Spanish and also improve her French and Arabic. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6th of 2006, and then was a contestant at Miss Universe 2006. Following her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a show about Sri Lankan businesses named Lanka Business Report. Padukone had the honor of being a daughter and badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew her life in Bangalore, but she is a native of Copenhagen. In her teens, she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport and became an artist. Padukone hails from Mangalore and her mother tongue is Konkani. Padukone is located in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi in Karnataka State of India is where her ancestry is derived from. Prakash Padukone has retired as an international badminton player and her mother is also a travel agent.
